Black Men Speak
“Black Men Speak” is an opportunity for Successful African American men to engage with African American high school boys about their journey and how they navigated through this thing called life!
Men like: Mr. Kristan Williams (The University of Chicago Hospitals head of radiology), Dr. Leodis Smith (Senior researcher for LIFR & Professor at DePaul/Columbia University), Chief Mitchell Davis (Hazel crest PD), Mr. Dennis Tolbert (LPN, ASN, & Adjunct professor) have all led these boys through their childhood to adulthood as an African American man. Answering any questions and giving as much guidance as they could on way these young men can further themselves and earn more opportunities.
Not only does “Black men speak” help these boys find further opportunities, but also provide them with a strong male figure who is able to give them guidance from their personal experiences.
